DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF MY SURGICAL SKILLS
I am highly skilled in performing the following procedures; only some of the important procedures were listed below.
1.ARTHROSCOPY & SPORTS INJURIES:
a. ARTHROSCOPY PROCEDURES OF SHOULDER:-
1.Rotator Cuff Repair
a.Done entirely Arthroscopically with knotless Anchors.
b.Hence no need for large surgical scars & blood loss.
c.Early recovery & shoulder mobilization.
d.I am highly experienced in this procedure.
2.Labrum repair for Recurrent shoulder Dislocation
a.Done entirely Arthroscopically with knotless Anchors.
b.Hence no need for large surgical scars & blood loss.
c.Early recovery & shoulder mobilization.
d.I am highly experienced in this procedure.
3.Sub-Acromion Decompression
a.This is a common procedure done by me in patients with subacromion impingement.
4.SLAP leision repair
a.I am one of the very few consultants who could treat this difficult condition Arthroscopically.
b. ARTHROSCOPY PROCEDURES OF KNEE:-
1.Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction (ACL) –
a. I use Hamstrings tendon
b. I do them entirely Arthroscopically
c. Advantages over open Patellar tendon procedure
1.Only small stab incision scars as compared to massive open surgical scar.
2.No risk of Patellar fracture since patellar tendon not used.
3.No risk of Anterior knee pain for above reasons.
4.Early recovery & rehabilitation.
2. Meniscal Repair (All inside Technique)
1.I use knotless anchors
2.I fix them entirely arthroscopically.

a. This is a common procedure done by me in patients with meniscal tear.

I. ELECTIVE PROCEDURES
1. HIP
a.Hip Resurfacing Arthroplasty – BIOMET
1.BIOMET, the newer version of Resurfacing arthroplasty, which in my opinion, is superior to Birmingham resurfacing arthroplasty, since it removes less bone, needs less cement & has a central positioning device for femoral resurfacing, for accurate placement of femoral prosthesis.
2.I use them in younger patients less than 50 to 60 years of age.
b.Cemented & Uncemented Total Hip Replacement
2.I use Exeter cemented THR in patients between 60 to 70 years of
age. The implant has proven 20 years life survival.
3.I use JRI Uncemented THR, in patients between 50 to 70 years of age. The implant has proven 20 years life survival.
c.Revision Total Hip Replacement
2.KNEE
a. Total Knee Replacement (TKR)
1.I use PFC & NEXGEN TKR.
2.The implant has proven 20 years life survival.
3.I use them in patients from 50 to 90 years of age.
b. Unicondylar knee replacement
1.I use OXFORD Unicondylar knee replacement.
2.The implant has proven 10 years life survival.
3. I use them in younger patients from 40 to 60 years of age. c. Revision Total Knee Replacement
